“If I have a camera in my hand, I don’t know fear.”
– Alfred Eisenstaedt I just read this article, which is where I pulled this quote. Which is my new favorite ‘Eyes of Hate’ Captured in Portrait of Nazi Politician by Jewish Photographer

Incredibly Upsetting Pictures Of Penn Station Then... →
It really is upsetting. I HATE what Penn Station is now. It’s gross. I hate whenever I have to go to Penn Station. I avoid it completely but if it looked anything the way it did, I would not mind.

Shuffle
I just watched a movie called Shuffle, it’s on demand on Netflix. It’s kind of, It’s a Wonderful Life/ Ground Hogs Day, style movie. Aw, I really liked it. It was funny, sweet and sad. A little sappy. Probably a chick-flick but I really wasn’t expecting what I saw from the synopsis. I could relate to the main character on so many levels and I guess that is what really got...

Why you might want to stop using Instagram... →
Really interesting article discussing new policies from Instagram, now part of Facebook. These new policies taking affect in January, will allow Instagram to sell your photos. Any photo taken. Including photos of your family, friends.. your children. They will not pay you anything or even let you know that they have sold your photos. Essentially making Instagram a stock photo app where users...

Man with a camera
Right now I am watching an old 50’s tv show on Netflix. Though it only got a little over two stars, I don’t think it’s that bad. Charles Bronson (the bad ass from Death Wish) plays a photographer who goes on dangerous assignments as a freelancer. So far camera pron has been a 5x4 camera, possibly a Graflex and a Leica or faux Leica. Definitely a “photographer problems” show lol. Just finished the...

My stomach is turning realizing that I have a job to do in three weeks. I’m nervous. I have to get ready. I need to buy a battery pack for my monolights but, Adorama doesn’t sell the battery pack alone anymore. My only option seems to be this set. Which means I will have another monolight. A total of three. Not really a bad thing but I really don’t have the space for another. Oh...

It is possible to print photographs using nothing but juice extracted from the petals of flowers, the peel from fruits and pigments from plants. In this great tipster from Malin Fabbri of alternativephotography.com, you can find out how!
